A Summarised Record of the Provision and Development of Public Baths and Wash Houses, with Special Reference to Manchester
This work was compiled by Albert Teasdale, M.N.A.B.S. (Inc), (Member National Association of Bath Superintendents). Mr. Teasdale served for almost 50 years in the Baths and Wash Houses Department of Manchester Corporation. He held the position of General Superintendent of the Department for 25 of those years.
Only two copies of the 13 File work was prepared. One was given to the Manchester Central Library. The only surviving copy of File 1, the summary document, was saved from the waste and is now held for safekeeping by the Baths & Wash Houses Historical Archive. The additional files have now been located and are in private hands and may one day be made available.
The work is available to read here. Albert Teasdale A Summarised Record of the Provision and Development of Public Baths & Wash Houses with Special Reference to Manchester
