I remember in the late 1950s early 1960s when my Dad used to take me on a walk round manchester on a Sunday morning and we passed the site of the old baths, where he and his brother went swimming as young boys, he pointed them out and at the time you could just see the outline of the pools and some of the tiling was usable before they were completely covered over the years, he used to tell me about how the baths were bombed in ww2, as they’d lived quite close to them
